Experience Portland

Like No Other City. You Can, in Portland.

Come for the learning, but don’t’ forget to enjoy Portland while you’re here. Between the breweries (most per capita in the U.S.), the scenery and the amazing food, you can’t beat it. We love our sports (soccer, anyone?) and our shopping, and we’re glad to share them with you.

Where to Stay

Portland is awesome. We wouldn’t live here, and bring you all here, if we didn’t believe that. Stay in one of our three official host hotels and explore our conference and city in comfort – for less.

Hotel Options

The Best Transportation Options

Portland is an easy city to get around, with many options available from public transportation to ride shares to car rentals. However, given that our event location and our hotel options are not adjacent, we like to help out by providing all registrants a free MAX Light Rail pass at registration, which is the easiest way to get to and from the conference site.

We also make our corporate rate on car rentals available to all attendees, on us.

Portland International Airport (PDX) The estimated taxi fare to all three hotels from PDX is $50 (US).

MAX Light Rail Once again, Viewpoint will be distributing Max Light Rail passes when you check in to pick up your badge. These are free with your conference registration and will be good to use through the conference dates.

The Red Line also can take you to/from the airport to downtown Portland. The trip takes about 38 minutes and costs $2.50. The MAX station and ticket machines are located near baggage claim on the lower level.

Ride Sharing Apps Both Lyft and Uber operate at a brisk pace in Portland. Please use at your own discretion, but they are a fast and easy way to get to and from the event site at a lower cost than taxis – especially when carpooling!
Car Rentals Please feel free to book using the Viewpoint corporate rate at either Budget or Avis.

The Event Venue: Our Oregon Convention Center

As many attendees already know, the Oregon Convention Center (OCC) provides outstanding experiences by embracing the local flavor and innovative approaches.

Built with sustainability in mind, it is a LEED Platinum certified building that caters to hundreds of events a year. As with last year, the Oregon Convention Center is still going through a renovation (nothing new for our crowd) and we’ll witness how much progress they’ve made when the Viewpoint Collaborate User Conference occurs. That said, wear your walking shoes — we’ll be all over the venue.
